This is my cover of The Devil Wears Prada's version of Still Fly. I recorded this in Drop B, rather than the original's Drop D.
I recorded two rhythm guitar tracks, one panned left and one panned right, and a third guitar track playing the lead fills, centered. I recorded one bass track, centered. I separated the cymbals, snare, and kick drum to give them their own breathing room. I did originally have a synth track as well, but I felt it took away from the quality of the song, so I removed it. I also added a couple of reverse cymbals and sub drops, as well as one reverse snare. No vocals have been recorded yet.
Recorded in REAPER, with my Line 6 POD UX2. Played on a six string Schecter guitar, a 6 string Dean bass, and ezDrummer.
